How affiliate links work

Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. That means a unique identifier is appended to the URL so the platform knows you arrived from our site. If you then sign up, the platform pays us a commission. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link.

Why our ratings stay independent

Affiliate commissions never influence our reviews, scores or rankings. Every platform is reviewed and rated against the same published methodology before we consider any commercial relationship. A platform cannot pay to be featured, to improve its score, or to have negative findings removed.

We review platforms we recommend and platforms we don't, and we publish the negatives openly, even when a platform pays us a commission. If a platform is unsuitable, we say so.

How we label affiliate links

Outbound links to platforms use the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute, which tells search engines the link is commercial in nature. This is a best practice for transparency and compliance with search engine guidelines.
